FKT 1DP1A-SV Advanced Pressure, Velocity and Flow Meter
|
The FKT 1DP1A-SV is portable, self-contained and micro-processor based. This instrument allows for the simultaneous measurement and display of differential pressure, atmospheric pressure, target gas temperature, relative humidity (RH), humidity ratio and density. Density is determined from the temperature and humidity readings. Accurate measurements can also be done on gases other than air by the user modifying the molecular weight of the target gas. In conjunction with a Pitot Static Tube, the FKT 1DP1A-SV can display measured velocity accounting for true gas density.
The FKT 1DP1A-SV can be used to perform duct surveys with built-in integration of the velocity profiles. In addition, this model estimates the uncertainty in your measurements for differential pressure, velocity and volumetric flow rate. The instrument also interfaces with a PC using the FlowScan software suite allowing data logging and flow survey functions and can configure as a component of a data acquisition system.
Features
- Simultaneous measurement and display of
- Differential pressure or velocity.
- Temperature.
- Relative Humidity.
- Humidity ratio.
- Atmospheric pressure (or absolute pressure).
- Real time display of true density including effects of temperature and water vapor.
- Excellent accuracy.
- Duct surveys at the touch of a button. Measure volumetric and mass flow rates in 3 user selectable units. SCFM available for ft/m range selection.
- Estimation of measurement uncertainty.
- Extreme ease of use. The instrument was specifically designed to avoid menu driven operation, as this usually proves cumbersome and requires continual reference to the manual. Almost all required information is displayed concurrently through the use of a large 4 line LCD display.
- K factor for non-unity probes. Allows use of S type probes for dirty environments.
- Pressure displayed in four user selectable units.
- Velocity is displayed in three user selectable units and with temperature and humidity corrections. In conjunction with a Pitot Static tube velocity based on true gas density can be displayed.
- Variable damping for measurements involving pulsating flows.
- Automatic auto-zeroing without disconnecting from the pressure source (through the use of internal solenoids) every ten minutes reduces zero-drift errors and simplifies operation. The auto-zero function can also be implemented by depressing the zero button. This is particularly useful when measuring in conditions with large ambient temperature fluctuations.
- Over-pressure protection: If the applied pressure exceeds the transducer rating, the instrument will automatically enter the auto-zero cycle which will equalize pressure across the differential transducers reducing the possibility of damaging the transducer.
- Data logging and flow surveying with optional FlowScan software suite.
- The absolute pressure transducer, if left unconnected, displays local atmospheric pressure, or if connected to a duct system the duct absolute pressure, which is then used for density calculation.
- The detachable probe of the instrument allows for the measurement of test point temperature and humidity.
- Rugged water resistant case.
